Life at the Speed of Rail
Daniel and I didn't win the Van Alen Institute High Speed Rail competition. The new winners were announced. Some of them were a nice combination of artistic/whimsical but grounded in reality.
Below are two of my preferred winning entries:
The Effects of High Speed Rail on Six Lives by Drew Bly, Brandon Souba, and Steven Vance
The other great one is called ChiLand by Kent State University's Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative (CUDC)
ChiLand from Van Alen Institute on Vimeo.
They all speak for themselves. Bottom line, they get you emotionally connected to what high speed rail can do to change our lives.
